The 22G of Jonathan Gomez was fast, leading up until the last lap when contact was made coming to the checkered with the 65 of Tyler Tanner. Ultimately that contact resulted in a runner up finish in this year's Summer Showdown.
After charging hard and catching the leader of Jonathan Gomez in the closing laps it didn't end well. On the final lap of the Summer Showdown contact was made with Gomez. Tanner ended up on the podium in the 3rd finishing spot in this years Summer Showdown.
